Good afternoon Kohler Families. This is Principal Durant.
With classes beginning tomorrow morning at 8:00 A.M, I want to take a moment to let you know how excited I am to welcome your children back to school for full in-person instruction.
As you know, students and staff are required to wear masks indoors due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you have any specific questions or need more information about health and safety practices and protocols, please do not hesitate to call me at 916-566-1850. Our administration is here to help you.
We ask that you make sure your children are on time and attend school every day. It’s important. A missed school day is a lost opportunity for students to learn.
Please visit our school website and watch our Orientation Video with important information about our return to school.  Or you can see the video as an attachment on this message.
As always, I look forward to what we will accomplish together. Thank you for your support and let’s make this a great school year!

Update from the principal- 3/16/2021

Good Afternoon Kohler Community,
We have some exciting news to share!  Our Kohler K-6 Bears are returning to school in a Hybrid Model on Tuesday April 6th!  We have worked hard to make sure our classrooms and our campus are safe for students to return to our Kohler Campus.  Anywhere from our HVAC filters to automatic soap dispensers in all classrooms and restrooms.  And, our teachers are getting ready to make every second count with their students. Our main priority is to continue to focus on safety, our first PBIS Kohler Bear Necessity.  Beginning next week we will begin to prepare our students to return with our current virtual morning meetings designed to prepare our students to return safely.  Also, next week, we are planning grade level parent informational meetings in the evening.  Please check in with your teacher for the Zoom Link and your scheduled day and time.  Like I said, the entire Kohler staff is excited to have our most important, our students, back to campus.  Kohler will look different, sound different and feel different.  So we want to make sure that all of our students, parents and families understand the new expectations.
Please see below for the bell schedules for Cohort A, Cohort B and Cohort C in our Hybrid Model.

We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
Have a great week everyone!  Gooooooooooo BEARS!

Update from the principal - 12/04/2020

Good Afternoon Kohler Community,
We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break.  We have two weeks remaining before Winter Break.  We will finish strong!  A mentor of mine would always tell me, it's not how we started, it's how we finish that determines success. Here are a few bullet points specific for Kohler:
  • During these two weeks, many of our students will be taking their SWUN benchmark tests.  Please talk to your student about getting enough sleep the night before their test and that they get good nutrition.
  •  We are celebrating our students with 100% attendance this week.  For your student that has 100% attendance, be expecting a certificate in the mail, as well as an invitation to have a virtual lunch with me on December 9th from 11:30-12:30.  We appreciate all of the hard work and dedication!
  • Meal distribution at Kohler will only be from 11:30-12:30 moving forward.  Please check the district website for nearby sites that are continuing with morning service.
  • Kohler School has a new partnership with UC Davis where UC Davis students are volunteering in our classrooms to help teachers and students.  Our UC Davis volunteers are cleared through TRUSD with background checks as well as fingerprints as a safety precaution and district protocol for volunteers.  We are grateful for their assistance and our partnership!
As always, please visit our website for more information and updates.  Have a great Weekend!
